Bidrage med feedbackThis place was awesome it checked all the boxes that matter. My only complaint would be parking, but that's something that's out of the owner control. Just prepare for a little walk, we parked by the IN &OUT!Also, dont be in a rush to park because we circled at least 5x before we caught someone walking to their car.Now we get in the place it wasn't packed, which was nice and we had a few questions about the items which the young lady gladly explained.I ordered the mango jasmine tea with sugarcane Boba, and my people ordered the passion fruit jasmine tea with passion fruit added in. It was their first time having Boba, so this was special to me. It was a home run to them because they are a big tea drinker. They instantly sat in the swing .and love the instgramable background for photos and memories. The young lady was so quick with the preparation of the drinks that we missed most of the process with seeing the sugarcane press. But the result was we got to enjoy our drinks quicker. There was only one place to sit, so I would say this is more of a grab and go place than a stop. Can't comment on the bathrooms. I didn't use them.Definitely will return and make sure to check in on yelp and get a free add on!
Let me start by saying we did not get the opportunity to try the tea. It may be delicious but we will never know because we will not be returning.Parking in the Rodeo 30 lot is terrible. We spent 10 min driving around the lot until we found a spot. Upon entering their menu looked great. We were buying 5 drinks so we knew it would take awhile for our order to be prepared. My son needed to use the restroom. It was closed with a sign stating “Covid Policy” as the reason. Restaurants must offer a restroom to dine in patrons although tables and chairs were removed as well. The laziness to clean their restroom for patrons use in 2023 (almost 3 years since the shutdown) is horrible. My son was not able to wait for 5 drinks to be made to use the restroom so we had no choice but to leave without our drinks. We wound up discovering a new tea shop with ample parking (no sugar cane options though) and a restroom my son was allowed to use that I will be yelping a glowing review for when I finish this review.
After dealing with the always packed parking lot at Rodeo 39 we found a spot and entered Tall Grass. We had an order with 5 drinks. After beginning to place our order but not yet paid) we were informed the restroom was unavailable due to Covid policy . We had driven around the parking lot for so long that my son was desperate to use the restroom. We were not able to wait the time it would take to make the drinks so we left. Our bill would 've totaled over $40 if my son could 've used the restroom allowing us to stay.I 'm bothered that there are still establishments claiming Covid policies when it comes to their restrooms. It is laziness and an unwillingness to clean their restrooms as they did prior to the pandemic. To open a restaurant and pass city inspections you must have a restroom for your patrons. Tall Grass has chosen to close their restroom and we will not be returning. No idea how their drinks taste.
Had the coconut drink with sugar cane. It brings nostalgia and reminds me of my childhood days when I used to drink coconut juice straight from the husk. I wish they had a branch nearby where I live. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area and try the other drinks. My sister had the passion fruit with sugar cane drink and also loved hers.
- Summer Fling (watermelon, sugarcane, mint) - Pucker Up (passion fruit, sugarcane) - Cocoloco (coconut water, sugarcane, coconut bits) While seating is limited at the counter, there’s a charming wall that’s perfect for photo opportunities. Don’t forget to check in for a free topping! The service is quick and friendly. There’s a parking lot, but it gets crowded since it’s shared with Rodeo.
