A tea shop that also serves snacks and food on the side . It's great for those studying or just want a chill day with your laptop. They even have outlets on some of the tables which is pretty convenient. It does make sense for them to require you to purchase food in order to access their WIFI for a couple of hours. We all know how competitive the tea shop business is, so lets be a little more understanding. That being said, I would probably appreciate this place a lot more if I came here often to study, but judging strictly as a tea shop, it was just alright to me. L O C A T I O N P A R K I N G Located on the corner of Lampson Euclid St. and shares the same lot as Farmers Insurance Five Star Academy. Parking spots are pretty limited. We came around 10 PM on a Friday night and as we were leaving, more cars started to pull in so beware coming in at later hours as it seems to be their peak hours. F O O D S N A C K S Rainbow Tea Due the bits of mango, strawberry, and peach accompanied with crystal boba, I find that it makes the tea a lot sweeter than it actually is. Fellow YELPERS weren't kidding when they said their drinks were very sweet so make sure to have them adjust the sweetness level. I feel that if I had adjusted to my usual 70~75% sugar, it still would have been way too sweet for me. The signature snows look promising, so maybe I'll give that a try if I stop by here again! Popcorn Chicken My brother had been here a couple of times and exclaimed that the last time he got mild here, it was way too spicy. Here I was thinking he was just weak and couldn't handle spiciness, so we opted for no spice, but why did we see chili powder on our chicken as if we ordered mild? Anyways, chicken was good as a good portion of the chunks were actually chicken and not from the batter. So the rule of thumb is, if you want mild, go for no spice, and if you want medium, go for mild. And if you want no spice, you're better off somewhere else. Squid Nuggets These were pretty good but definitely on the pricier side compared to the quantity you get. They were like squid balls that I would get at an Asian supermarket but it had a chewier texture to it.
This is a nice studying place because they are open till last at night. The only thing is you have to buy something to use their WiFi and it has a limit to 4 hours and 30mins... even though outside on their window it says they have free WiFi. But if you wanted to stay longer you'll have to buy another item. Their drink prices are around $5 range but you if pay in cash you get a 6% discount.
I enjoy this place bc of how late it open until 2am, but hey changed management and the place is now called Dragon Fly tea bar? So you gotta buy something to use their Wi-Fi because each receipt gets a specific code. This is a downside for me because I can't spend on something each visit especially because there seems like nothing is less than 5. On the bright side, once again it's open late so lots of students are studying real late (like me). There's LOTS of outlets at each seat. I study reeeal late, so I notice it does get busy at 10pm, but people start leaving close to midnight.
Good place, good food and good environment but it’s always crowded and it’s hard to find a decent table. If only the place was a little bigger...
