Bidrage med feedbackThis review is long overdue. Every time we got disappointed we gave them the benefit of the doubt saying that maybe it was an accident in the receipe , maybe they pressed the wrong key when we got grossly overcharged ...maybe, maybe. But enough is enough! We just spent today over $350 like always), and with great difficulty and begging, we got 2 little boxes of sauerkraut for the 5 boxes of stuffed cabbage. The ciorba de burta was just a clear liquid with a few pieces of tripe in it, having to chase them inside the bowl... missing all flavors and taste. We got them to go otherwise i would have returned it on the spot. One container was full, the second one just 3/4!I guess that the clear liquid is very expensive. Last Easter we purchased some bakery products made in the house and every single one was stale, or dry. The cozonac is a little better than plain bread, actually I had bread that tasted better than their cozonac. The prices are quite high and the products are....hmmmmm, should I say it? I will refrain for now from the word that is lingering on the tip of my tang. We feel and we are cheated big time by our own people. What a shame!
Great place for Eastern European goods it's a cozy little shop. We come and ring the bell the staffs quickly come to help us. We get the fresh salami, liverwurst, and lamb/pork frozen mici. Everything tastes good, the frozen mici need to be steamed. Price is reasonable. We will be back to try the baked goods and dry sausage.
This is a great little European market where I was able to find traditional Romanian and Eastern European products , also deli products. People working here and very nice and friendly. I live in Santa Barbara but I make the trip every couple of months to get the stuff that I miss from my home country. Thank you!
I’ve been shopping here for 15+yrs. Last 4yr been hit miss. More misses actually. 1 month ago 1 box of pufuleti was stale. waste of $60 few times Parizer was bad 1 yr ago came to visit parents in CA decided to gift parents lots of Romanian meat.. shopped for them about $250 from that one time shopping all meat was bad the dry meat, was still eatable but u can tell was not normal. 18 months ago I hired a pers to help w shopping. He didn’t speak Ro or English.. went there and took back same day wrong items never got the credit or refund. Paid for all new items again but no credit. Even thou I called myself ahed of time and explained… it wasn’t much but still the act in itself .. (was $27) worst part.. is one day, I order an ENTIRE TRAY freshly made Prăjitură that looked like crempită to me, it seats on counter next to bread and it’s kind of newer (2 3 yr old) on menu…. I paid a load of money for it for one person… and it was sliced with a knife dirty of salty/meat/GARLIC FOOD …i thought I was about to puke ? But to their credit .. when I called and placed order by phone, often paid over phone called UBER to a pick up they were very nice and helped load groceries or gave groceries to UBER driver and since I was very specific not to give it to me unless fresh … was all fresh..ON THE OTHER HAND.. I’m one customer who goes there monthly spends $300 average..Last box of pufuleti was last straw for me.
Good place to buy smoked sausages and Eastern European foods and condiments.
