New York Diner - Garden City Beach

Our first time going there and also our last. The server was prompt and friendly enough, but never checked to see how our food was. Maybe she knew I would say it was bad. I ordered the Greek gyro and I was disappointed. The pita was hard, there was barely any meat in it, the lettuce was yellow and brown and coated in tzatziki sauce. The fries tasted like they had been cooked in fish oil. My first bite, I told my husband it wasn’t good. I ate about 1/4 of what was on my plate. Within 2 hours, I was in the bathroom with an upset stomach. I was hopeful to have found a new spot to patron, but was extremely disappointed.

Everything was delicious and the staff were very nice. We'll definitely be back.

Waitress was phenomenal portions are large. The home fried potatoes were crispy and done perfectly.

Small mom and pop place, server is always friendly and even when busy, on top of it.. owner is always there and always with a smile on his face.. Our go to breakfast spot

This place has been spot on for years! I'll always go there.
