Mac Melts - Garden City

My son wanted to try this place since he loves mac n cheese. He ended up getting the mac n cheese 5 cheese. It was a tad pricey in my opinion as the dish came out to around $12 and the portion was a bit meager. He did like it but wasn't overly impressed with the dish. Will only give this place 3 stars based on this one visit.

If you LOVE Mac and cheese this is a must try place! I had to pick up dinner for my kids, and this place was close by. We were in a rush, so we ordered take out. The process was quick and easy. The food although at the end of the night still tasted fresh. We got the short rib Mac and the mushroom Mac. The place is small and part of a shopping center parking is ample and the health food store next door is great!

First time here got something simple Mac melt balls not to bad but need to add marinara at the bottom and they would be a hit. I would return to try other things.

Quarantine has me working at home, way up near Glen Cove , so my lunch time cravings don't get catered to the way they did when I was in Uniondale. A trip to Mac Melts is now a special treat (instead of my weekly carb-fest). I'm so glad to see they're still in business with a dedicated group of hardcore fans. The Southwest Mac and Pesto Mac are my go-tos. Always the perfect comfort food and always pure perfection. I think I need to treat myself a bit more often...

I was a little disappointed that this restaurant no longer offers the mac sampler I saw in some pictures, but I was still happy with my dish. I got the vegetable mac (to be healthy, you know) with chicken added. I didn't realize the chicken was fried chicken, but at that point, the extra calories didn't bother me and the combo was quite delicious. I'd definitely want to try some of their other varieties next time the craving hits.
