Taverna Fregoso - GARDA

Little bit away from the front, first class authentic italian Ristorante on a quiet street Very friendly waiter who hadn't much English. Didn't matter, he knew what we wanted and was happy to have a laugh with us when our meal was finished. The portions are big but how can you complain about that.

Nice outdoor restaurant on the pedestrian street in the city center. A good place to watch people passing by.

Friendly service, great location, free wifi , plenty to choose from the menu. At the end of our meal they offered the usual lemon liquor and the man gave chocolates to the kids. The pasta with clams was delicious with a generous portion size, pizza base’s perfectly cooked , and the house wine was absolutely fine. Overall good value for money and lovely staff.

We walked past here numerous times on our Garda holiday and it was always busy with a nice atmosphere so we decided to try a pizza here one night. We both ordered the salami pizza with a beer and a white wine. They don’t do rose here by the glass, only bottles. When the pizza came it looked amazing but they had cut one in half instead of giving us two, clearly lost in translation somewhere! That said it was a large half so we laughed it off and only mentioned when we paid. The waiter very kindly offered to get us another which we declined and then said we’d have to go back another night for the other one the pizza was delicious, drinks cheap and a great people watching spot. Nothing not to like, highly recommend.
