Going to DnD is a treat and a half great atmosphere. Great staff. Great games. Great donuts. Perfect to get in out of the rain for a bit and a great supplier of board games and rpg books etc. Refreshingly not a 'merch ' store. A nerdy haven of a hang out. Donuts are FRESH every day and when they are gone they are gone so go go now!
As recent connoisseurs of all things donut related I had to have a Google of donut shops when I recently visited Galway for myself and my boyfriends birthdays. Dungeons and donuts seemed like a cool hip name, so I expected a colourful usual donut shop. NOPE. From the moment you walk in through the hidden passage inside the french institute you see all things dungeons and dragons related, tables set out for games to be enjoyed and then you get to the AMAZING gormet donuts. My fav was the one with a French fancy stuffed in the hole . But they had something for every taste. We didn 't have time to stay for a game- but as complete amateurs the owner assured us if we came back he would have a special set ready for us to ease us in. Haha. If your into things a little more unusual this place is a MUST GO.
Tasty, cheap nerdy themed donuts, lots of board games, friendly staff and amazing ambiance a must see for game lovers!
Visited on a Monday morning, looking for a quick breakfast and came upon Dungeons and Donuts from a recommendation on yelp. The store is located in an office building off to the side from the main door. Inside is pretty small, with shelves of different games and gaming tools to buy. The games to rent and play are in a back room behind the counter. My husband picked a donut and a coffee for 5 euros. The coffee comes from an automatic machine like in the gas stations, and you self serve which donut you would like. So why are they so expensive? The guy at the counter barely moved, only to take our money. I guess you can rent a game for 5 euros and it includes a donut and a coffee. My husband asked since he paid 5 euros could he rent a game. We were told that I would have to pay 5 euros to participate and we just didn 't feel it was worth it at that time. 10 euros seemed like a lot to rent a game on a Monday morning when they were not busy. Maybe if they had better food and made it more comfortable to stay. The donuts look cute and have game themed decorations, but the donut was stale and dry. Too much sugar decoration on top trying to distract from a blah pastry. Not worth it to us.
