Bidrage med feedbackDuring our weekend stay in Galveston, this was the only restaurant where we could find halal food. The dishes we tried were delicious, although the service was quite slow and we had to wait a long time. I recommend opting for the buffet to save time. I particularly enjoyed the biryani and grilled chicken. The ambiance is rustic and reminiscent of traditional Asian houses. It’s a great spot to visit if you're looking for halal Indian or Pakistani cuisine.
I was the only customer there, aside from someone who seemed to be a regular. It had a genuine mom-and-pop vibe. The lady in the kitchen was very friendly and made a great suggestion for my meal. I was a bit surprised by the prices, but the food was delicious and the service was good. I didn’t find the place to be dirty at all; the table had a clean pitcher of water and tidy glasses. I'm glad I gave it a try. I probably won't go back because of the prices, but maybe I would consider sharing a meal with a friend.
1. Upon arrival, the air conditioning wasn’t working. After asking the owner/server for some water, it took 15 minutes for it to arrive, and the glass they brought was dirty. 2. The prices for the meals were inconsistent with what was listed on the menu. There was a small sign at the counter stating that menu prices could be $2-3 more for each item. 3. The cutlery and plates on our table were dusty and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. 4. When our food arrived, I mentioned to the owner that the shrimp were burnt. He claimed that some people like them extra crispy, but they were more black than golden and definitely not appetizing. 5. I actually saw the chef take the samosas directly from the freezer, which explained why they were still cold in the center. 6. We ordered some samosas and a vegetable spring roll for our vegetarian friend, but instead of serving them separately, everything was piled onto a large plate with shrimp and fries. Overall, this experience was quite disappointing, and I would not recommend this restaurant.
Please don't go to this place. I feel bad, eat and waste money. they have no hearts to serve. we waited for about ten minutes for someone who accepts our order, although the restaurant was empty. I decided to make it easier for them, went to the counter and commanded them. after a bed comes another person to us and take our order when I already placed. as if they have our best interests in the heart. I ordered tilapia, and it turned out that it was much more salty than sea water that I could not eat. I have eaten a lot of fish all over the world, and that was the worst, terrible experience. I also don't know why a filet looked completely different than another. and the carrots they served were dry and old. we ordered paprika, hoping that they would fill our favourites for the trip home, but they were burned. I was thirsty, but the little one that they gave me, let me try more to finish our lassi. they have never said that they would ever say thank you after the overload of the price without any change notice. I also noticed for the first time a restaurant with sacks to cover frozen drinks in the cooler in the main room. felt really sad to be treated like that. he was empty.
Believe the reviews!! There's a reason. I payed $11 for 8pc nugget and fries. These people are thieves!!!! Halal doesn't mean anything these people take advantage of others. And yes it came all in a brown bag!!
