Marble Slab Creamery - Galveston

Went in because we have never been and it’s close to home. We were the only customers in the shop. The young lady behind the counter was super friendly. The two older people man and woman not so much. They looked more annoyed at us coming in. Just 3 of us by the way not a large group. My son wanted a strawberry smoothie and the young lady let us know after a couple of minutes that they didn’t have fresh strawberries and was it ok to use purée instead. He readily agreed but the older woman refused to make the smoothie. Tried saying in Spanish thinking I wouldn’t understand that she didn’t want to clean the machine again. So my son ended up getting ice cream which tasted absolutely wonderful. The problem is the cup was barely full and the ice cream started melting before leaving the store! The cost compared to the portion sizes was unacceptable. The younger lady was wonderful but the older people need to not work in customer service if you don’t like customers coming through the door. I won’t be returning. I just run up to Rita’s now.

Was so excited to find a marble slab here in galveston! Super clean and friendly staff. As always, they'll let you try a flavor if needed. Nothing like a classic cone on a hot day with sprinkles.

Won't even let a customer use restroom, I thought businesses had to have useable restrooms open if they served food and drinks.

It was mediocre. Got one scoop in a waffle cone and it was $10!!!! Crazy.

The ice cream was melting before she put it on my cone. They need to keep their freezer colder. And I paid for 2 toppings and got the smallest scoops ever! The scoops are small. But she only picked up 2/3 of a scoop from an already small scooper.
