Little Daddy’s Gumbo Galveston

If you're looking for authentic Cajun cuisine, this is the spot to visit. The gumbo, étouffée, and jambalaya were all fantastic. Everything was exceptional!

The food was excessively salty, and there was an unpleasant odor outside that resembled toilet cleaner. However, the service was quick, efficient, and very friendly! We ordered platters that featured a variety of items. Many selections from the bourbon platter were so salty that I couldn't eat them, but the fried seafood platter was less problematic. Unfortunately, the fries served with that platter were undercooked, and there was no ketchup available on the table, though it did come with a peppered cocktail sauce. Despite sitting outside, we were greeted by an odd smell that reminded me of a recently cleaned bathroom, possibly due to low-quality cleaning products; I'm not sure of its source. On a positive note, the service was outstanding—prompt and very welcoming!

The food was fantastic! Our server recommended the Alligator Appetizer for our family, and it was a hit with everyone. The kids especially loved it!

The Gumbo Bar Garbage was hmmm, not trash but close to it. It was just what the menu described but dry. They gave you butter on the side but it just made it greasy not more tasty. It was edible but, I wouldn't order it again and the bread pudding was less than memorable. The sauce was soooo thin I thought the waiter accidentally overheated the sauce and liquidified it. He assured me that that was the way it was served. It was a definite culinary fail. I was not happy with this visit and I didn't order anything else after those two disappointments. I cut my loses and left.

This whole place is a vibe! It’s cozy and the food is AMAZING! And the amount of food they give you for the price is almost a steal! We will definitely make this a priority stop when we visit again!
