Little Daddy’s Gumbo Galveston

This place was perfect for a cold day on the island. the hawn and the sausage has a dark roux and was perfectly spiced. the gator and the roasted pickles were both hot and crispy. the garlic bread was nice to dive into the huge bowl of the rubber. our waitress was attentive and filled drinks often. eating came hot and quite fast. they forgot my order of sweet potato fries, but I didn't have a place to eat them anyway.

Picked Little Daddy's out of soo many others. Best choice I made. When we arrived we were told about an hour wait. But we were actually seated very quickly. The hostess (both of them) were awesome and we had a few good laughs while waiting, it was a busy evening and they looked like they could use a bit of comedy relief. Our waitress Lacey was amazing tended to everything we needed. Drinks were superbly made,but the food was out of this world! Best Gumbo, Jambalaya and Etouffee I had west of Louisiana. I love how they prepare the gumbo in these little boiling pots. It is a definite MUST RETURN and worth the wait. Prices are very reasonable as well.

The perfect place to get genuine gumbo made to order. Also the staff is so friendly. Lacy the manager is awesome and Gloria could sell your shirt right back to you. Definitely check out this staple restaurant, you will come back again and again.

Cons: Finding parking is a bit of a hassle anywhere down there especially on weekends. They didn't serve our food at the same time. I had to wait about 5 minutes longer. It didn't bother me, but this may be a concern for those coming in with a group of people. Pros: It was a very good experience I had with my dad the food was really good. I ordered the Hangover Burger and my dad ordered the Gumbo Shrimp Platter. They have a bar, tv, and the customer service was good. The food tasted better than expected. I don't like Cajun food, but there appetizers with the shrimp, sausages, and rice was delicious. Overall: I recommend this place. 5 out of 5 stars. The customer service was great refilling my water without me asking and very polite. It was the food that really did it for me. I rarely like Cajun food or fried food, usually stay at home and cook my own meals, so I'm glad I found a place to go eat that I know can deliver on taste.

Food: five stars hard for me to rate a restaurant five stars but I give credit where credit is due. Some of the best food on the island. Must stop. The price is fair for the quality. Service: five stars we had the most amazing server. Best service I have had in a while. There are a lot of restaurants out here in Galveston and the employees are not a friendly but this place.... incredible Cleanliness: three in a half stars restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. The bathroom only has one stall per person but it wasn't very busy when we were there so that was not a problem for us. Over all I would definitely recommend this place and I would definitely return again. Side note parking may be difficult if you are there during busy hours or vacation time.
