Kroger - Galveston

Kroger is the primary store on the island for vegans looking to purchase products. They have a nice selection of organic items that are reasonably priced, and their natural food section is well-stocked. Non-dairy milk and vegan meats are organized in separate areas, which I appreciate since it allows me to do all my shopping without having to navigate the meat department, which is located at the opposite end of the store. They carry all the essentials, including vegan sour cream, creamer, and cream cheese. However, it's a bit frustrating that the frozen vegan meats are located in the natural foods freezer, while the vegetable freezer compartment is in the main freezer section, making it difficult to find specific items. Overall, Kroger offers some great options, and they frequently have fantastic sales and coupons. On the other hand, Tom Thumb on 61st does have some unique vegan specialties that Kroger doesn’t offer, but their prices are higher and they lack variety in other areas.
