Gite L Alzelli - Galéria

L'Alzelli is a Gite d'étappe des Mare e Monti hiking trail. There is also a campsite. We were on 16. May 2017. The long reservation booked in advance, no deposit, had worked, we were kindly received. The sleeping areas (2-sock beds) and the washing facilities were clean and functional. The Gite is located on the Fango River with clear water and natural pools. As Apéro we enjoyed an excellent pizza from the wood stove. The dinner for the hikers with half board was very good. The friendly and attentive service of a young French woman, a pearl, was particularly pleasant!

Functional house, clean rooms ok but limit for sanitary and showers. The location is exceptional with the natural pool, very friendly host. Lunch, okay. Good value for money.

My opinion is only on the Alzelli restaurant, I didn't use the adjoining campsite, you can reach the restaurant in a few seconds from the Fango torrent and the hiking trail and also by car. It is necessary to provide a T-shirt at least, proper outfit necessary: warm welcome and very attentive staff. With the aperitives the restaurant gives a glass tapas, I had homemade tapas, delicious. For the most environmentally friendly: consider asking for your cocktail without plastic. Pizzas are excellent and as they are homemade, it is possible to ask to remove one of the ingredients (super for vegetarian vegetarians. For dessert, I chose a gourmet tea and it was really the good idea to finish the meal. The frame is then truly exceptional: the two tables are strategically located with a view of the Fango torrent, it’s really romantic! Families with children will be able to settle on the large tabs more in the center of the terrace, well shaded under the trees. The doggy bag is encouraged by the staff, so don’t hesitate, especially that the kitchen uses aluminum rather than plastic The toilets, even if they are clean, deserve to be improved! The price level is very reasonable without being given. With regard to payments: no CB or check, but fortunately this institution accepts bank transfers! So, plan to activate the function with your bank to use it on your smartphone.
