We are pleased that we can enjoy Thanksgiving brunch in woodland. it was not crowded and the lookout is beautiful. brunch has not many possibilities, but they are all very delicious. the employees are not always there, but when they showed up they are very friendly.
To say that we were disappointed would be monumental understatement. For my wife's birthday I took her to Galena for the weekend. After reading the reviews for The Woodlands, I opted to take her there for an 8pm reservation. When we arrived, we were told it would be a short wait by the hostess and the manager, Jack. We were not seated until 8:40 p.m. That is completely unacceptable when you have a reservation at 8 p.m. The food was decent and our waitress was quite nice. The manager came over as we were getting getting ready to leave and rather than apologizing was fishing for compliments. That doesn't sit well. When you run a restaurant, customer service should be your top priority. Instead of fishing for compliments he should have offered some sort of compensation , perhaps a drink while we were waiting at a minimum.
