Uncle Julio's - Gaithersburg

I am a frequent visitor to this restaurant, and during our recent visit, my spouse's dinner was served cold, indicating that it had been left sitting out for too long before being brought to our table. Without us having to mention anything, the server quickly came over and informed us that the meal would be removed from our bill. While mistakes can happen, I commend the restaurant for promptly addressing the issue and taking the appropriate action. Because of this positive experience, we will definitely be returning in the future.

Too noisy to hold a conversation across a small table for two. Indifferent service The Queso was outstanding as were the chips The Fajitas were good The Bacon Wrapped Shrimp were tasteless and boring The meal was not worth the price paid

When we first walked in we were greeted by the host who was in all fairness a bit busy which is what it is but when I checked in I wasn’t welcomed in any way and one of those pagers was more or less tossed to me with little to no explanation or basic “we are a little busy this evening so when your table is available the pager will vibrate”. when I asked how long the wait would be the response was dismissive and terse. We do make our way to the table and the server greeted us with the evening’s specials and we placed our drink orders which arrived prompt and in good order, we ordered our food and we got the appetizer very quickly which was not a good thing the queso was cold and the ceviche was not even anything in the world of edible the fish tasted off and was saturated in garlic almost as if it was to off set the over all poor quality, it did not. I asked to speak to a supervisor and requested to go ahead and cancel the whole order and that we would pay for our drinks. Now I have worked in the hospitality industry for 17 years and anytime this has happened the manager almost always comps the drinks and try’s to salvage the guest experience by offering some incentive to return that was not the case. But Guapos was awesome

Overall I am a fan. Though, on my last visit I ordered my favorite dish Guadalajara). The shrimp was over done, and the portion smaller than usual not that I need a bigger portion). But as I said “I AM A FAN “

The noise level was very loud otherwise, the service was very good and the food was quite good.
