Giant Food - Gaithersburg

This huge place is one of the big and has a strange layout that seems a little secret for the personal. I needed one because to find heavy cream, and I was sent twice over the load.

It's a good place to shop because it's never crowded. However, if you are looking for produce, this is not the place.

I needed assistance with customer service during my visit. A colleague was busy working on a Western Union transaction, which took a long time. The manager spent over 10 minutes looking for batteries for the label maker while we waited. The person in front of me tried to return potatoes that weren’t purchased at Giant. Instead of addressing my needs, the manager sent them to another station. When I mentioned my situation, the manager said, “I will help them,” but then only glanced at the potatoes without providing any assistance to me. I ended up leaving because she didn’t help me at all. The speed of service is clearly not a priority here.

The bakery products here are not fresh, and the prices are higher compared to other stores. For instance, I paid $5.99 for a package of 12 small cupcakes that were stale. In contrast, I was able to buy a package of 12 small cupcakes and a package of 12 blueberry muffins from Aldi for the same price, and their quality was significantly better.

Maurice is outstanding and always friendly. Whether it's raining or sunny, he brings a ray of positivity outdoors.
