Sababa - Gainesville

We had an excellent first experience at Sababa! About 30 of us gathered for dinner at this cozy, family-owned restaurant. Since it was our first visit, we didn't anticipate how small the space would be, but Yael and Riley were accommodating and friendly. They quickly rearranged tables for us to move indoors from the patio to ensure everyone had a seat. They plan to add more seating soon. The owners were communicative and considerate in finding the best way to serve our large group. The food was incredible—everything is kosher, and they don’t use any dairy. It was fantastic to see a variety of options for meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten sensitivities; usually, someone ends up with just an acceptable choice, but everyone in our group had delicious menu options that suited their dietary needs. I especially recommend the vegan shawarma. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Sababa and can’t wait to return or order from them again!

Oh my goodness! The chicken shawarma is absolutely incredible. I also adore all the salads and sides that come with it. Furthermore, this is the best falafel I've tried in Gainesville so far. Sababa has become our new favorite spot! I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

Fantastic food and outstanding service! I dine here at least once a week, and I'm thrilled they opened a location downtown. You can really see their commitment to providing a great customer experience. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the shawarma, but the schnitzel is amazing as well. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
