Tasca Literaria Dona Joana Rabo De Peixe

I always find it hard on holiday to know if I'm going to a really good restaurant. Thanks to Lonely Planet and Google reviews I'm so glad I came here! The food is fresh and really tasty. They are good portion size and really reasonably priced! The Scabbard fish Tosca style was delicious. Seriously, this fish may look scary but tastes just amazing! Also, the staff are wonderful and so attentive. I loved every moment and can't recommend this place enough! Thank you for such a lovely time.

Great food and service. Our New Year's Eve dinner was super special. We would like to thank all the staff for making this evening so memorable. The restaurant is very comfortable and welcoming, food delicious, pleasant wines served, friendly and attentive.

Our farewell dinner on the day of departure from Funchal; great fish soup, tuna and espada, prepared straight before serving; a milky, intimate street; kind and direct boss; I would highly recommend

We had a nice table just inside. The staff greeted us at the entrance and was friendly. Our meal was served rather quickly. The swordfish filet was grilled to perfection.
