Santa Catarina Cafe - Funchal

Great place, nice beer, great coffee, chill vibe. But pricey because of the location.

Of course you expect to pay more in a park cafe. But you don't expect to be mugged. We ordered two meia de leite but were given galōes at a cost of 6,20 euro. 3 4x local rate just outside the park. If you are going to rip customers off, at least provide a menu or display your prices and be transparent about it; or you are a tourist trap. Never again.

Santa Catarina Cafe is nestled in a serene park, perfectly situated between the town and the harbor. During my visit, I indulged in their delectable brownie, which was artfully presented with a delightful scoop of ice cream. The tranquil setting and scrumptious dessert made for a memorable experience, combining nature’s beauty with sweet indulgence. Highly recommended for a relaxing treat in Funchal, Madeira!

Lovely cafe, lovely, friendly staff. Great food and excellent value for money. Lovely location. Toilets nearby. Atmosphere was really chilled and relaxed. Spent quite a while there, no pressure to buy or move on. Lovely afternoon.

Can't comment in the food but a great place to relax in the park and great service
