Qasbah Lounge Cafe - Funchal

Nice outside seats. All we ordered was delicious, especially the Risotto. The service was fast and very friendly. The Sangria was excellent. It was so good that we came back to Funchal for the last dinner!

Excellent lunch. Fisherman's soup Prawns Squid, class etc tuna with tattar sauce toasties. Very cheap. Please visit.

Lovely place right along the coast with tables and chairs placed so we could see the sea. Service was very good and efficient and the food was excellent and plentiful and not too pricey either. I had a sort of surf and turf dish which was quite delicious and I was surprised at how cheap it was. Certainly somewhere to spend an afternoon and then walk along the coast through the park next door to the ice cream parlour a wonderful afternoon.

We just dropped by mid morning for a coffee, but encountered some of the worst, and slowest service ever. I ordered an iced coffee at 10.40, it arrived at 11.15, along with my partner’s tea. It was a beautiful day, and the view was pleasant so we weren’t over bothered, unlike some of the other customers who were getting frustrated. Picking up my iced coffee to drink, it was apparent it was both hot, and cold. The final straw in this farcical experience.

Lovely views from the terrace, but unfortunately the waiter who served us kept bringing us the wrong order. He brought us three meals, none of which were ours! Eventually he brought our toasted sandwich and ice cream, but didn’t return to ask us if we wanted another drink. I don’t think he spoke English, which was a problem as most of his customers spoke it. He was pleasant and tried his best.
