Ed's Paixao Pela Comida - Funchal

We had a 2nd meal at Ed’s having had a very nice experience the first time round and this visit matched that. The burgers were exquisite and the meat so good and the price extremely reasonable. It is not positioned in the main tourist drag being behind the Forum Shopping Centre and that does reflect in the numbers of people eating there however it is well worth a visit. If it was situated in downtown Funchal or on Estrada Monumental this place would do very well indeed. Highly recommend that people go out of their way to find .

Stumbled across Ed's while we were waiting to go to the cinema we just ordered a beer, but having checked the menu we decided to visit another time. We actually went twice during our stay as it was really tasty and very good quality. We had the burgers both times as they were so good, but when we visit next time we'll try one of the other dishes on the menu. Friendly informative staff. A nice relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend

This was our second time coming to Ed’s. The first time we were missing a little bit of our home in California. So we decided to try out some American style burgers and ribs. We were a little hesitant at first but thank god we decided to try it! They truly make you feel at home with a smile and hospitality. We have tried 2 burgers and a BBQ pork plate. Everything has been A+ down to the ice cream and drinks. If you are missing home like us or want to try some authentic American meals please make this your number one spot to visit! Excellent food being American it was a joy to have such great quality meat for a burger. My husband also enjoyed his Texas burger. The staff was friendly. Can't wait to revisit and try the whole menu

Very awsome! The food (we had the beef ribs and the texas burger) was simply this: The best burger either of us have ever eaten. The taste and textures were perfectly balanced (meat, bacon, cheese, pickle, tomato, crispy brioche bun) and super yummy, tender, savoury ribs. The portions are huge so they were perfect for sharing The fries were very good and tbh. this was one of the best side salads I ever had. Fresh, crispy with a simple dressing that neither overpowered the burger and ribs nor was is boring. I really recommend Ed's, you can taste the love for food and quality. Also the service is super nice and friendly.
