Wow! Don’t be deceived by its location. This place is fantastic! I tried the fish tacos and they were delicious. The staff is also incredibly friendly.

The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. I will definitely return. Don’t be discouraged by the neighborhood tour—just keep following the signs!

I was so excited to be able to try the location after having food from the truck, and picking up tamale bakes from Local Source! Everyone was so nice. This is a family run business and you are truly supporting sweet people! The food is always fresh and delicious. There?s not a bad dish. They have outdoor seating and the indoor seating is very clean. This place is awesome. You can definitely recommend tamale queen to anyone and I guarantee they will love it. They were also super friendly to my 4 year old. They make you feel welcome and at home. Don?t skip the milkshakes either.

WHAT A FIND! I was driving through Alabama on my way to NOLA from Cincinnati, OH, and needed to stop somewhere for lunch I couldn't have stumbled upon a better place! Needless to say, the tamales are absolutely delicious, the toppings are fresh and flavorful, and not only that, but everyone who works there is a delight. I felt so taken care of, I didn't want to leave! Next time I'm headed south, I know where I'll be stopping ; Thanks Tamale Queen!!!
