El Tapatio - Fruita

I ordered a combo meal a asada chimichanga,rice and beans when my order came the chimichanga had greasy ground beef instead of asada,the refried beans were watery,the rice was so so. After the waiter brought my food he never came back one time to see how I was doing so I couldn't tell him about my meal,horrible service! My water cup set empty until I finished my meal the thing was it wasn't busy at all what happened to my waiter?? No one else came by to ask if everything was okay as well, after I finished my meal I paid and left out of frustration my frustration equals no tip why would I tip for a subpar meal and bad service!

Just the best. I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t excellent.

Eat here! It's unfortunate that some may have experienced a bad time but I ate here two days in a row for supper, back to back, because it's really the best Mexican food I've had in a lot of years in Colorado. The staff is a bit awkward but only because they don't know how to take the patrons sometimes, the cultural gap in this area can be intimidating. The staff here is extremely kind and attentive if you yourself are polite and attentive, I'm very happy with the whole establishment from food to customer service, I highly recommend and I'll frequent the place any time I'm in Fruita! Take the time to stop in, the food is nothing short of amazing.

We were on vacation visiting Colorado National Monument and saw this restaurant on the way in Fruita. We went at 3:30 in the afternoon and we were the only ones there (but not for long). The bathrooms were super clean and I glanced into the kitchen which was also very clean. I started out ordering a house margarita which was very good. I judge Mexican food with a Chile Relleno and he checks out the cheese enchilada. They offered a crisp version of the Chile Relleno which I had never tried, and after Carlos, our server said it was the best, I had to give it a try. It was heavenly delicious ? The enchiladas were a winner also! Will definitely visit this place in the future. Excellent.

El Tapatio is the best Mexican food in the valley. Dont waste your time and money anywhere else.
