Bidrage med feedbackThis place isn't that good at all to go to. I have heard as well the waitresses tips are checked and they are paid less than minimum wage, that's not right. And the fact more that their tips are checked sounds creepy and violating that they can't feel comfortable with keeping the tips they made that the customers give them. The place feels weird and is very tight and it's more uncomfortable when college students there are arguing and since you're in such close proximity to them, you can smell their breath and they get really drunk and stumble around and such. It doesn't seem like there's the thought of someone had too much to drink, so let's cut them off from getting more drinks. This just doesn't seem to be a place that has any care for customers who aren't drunk off their a*s and causing arguments and such. And from another reviewer, it sounds horrible that there was no soap or toilet paper in the bathroom and the new owner's excuse to another reviewer sounded like they brushed it all off and now have toilet paper and soap. Umm, can we get the health inspector there before, and now? The place is very dingy, dirty and the food does not taste good at all, it tastes all frozen and just bland. Let's hope this place gets shut down due to so many problems that I've heard before happen there.
I went to Hi-Way Pizza for the first time when I was invited by a friend to go to their first ever trivia night. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the pizza and wings were decently priced and very tasty. The only minor complaint I would mention is the womens bathroom is not great. Simply because of lack of space. The new owners are doing a great job and I will definitely be going back!
I went to Hi-Way Pizza for the first time recently, when they had their Primetime Trivia night, and I definitely plan to go back! I know this place has been around for a long time, and I don't know what it was like before, but I'm hopeful that it will do really well under the new ownership. The pizza and wings are great, and trivia was fun!
If you want to be treated like human excrement by some dude with a receding hairline and an ego problem- I would definitely reccomend going to Hi Way Pizza. I have been to this business several times. I went one evening without ID in hand, hoping to use the bathroom. Don't even get me started on the bathroom lay out. Whoever they hired as their architect- yikes! Considering I've seen them not ID regular customers, I thought it would be fine if I ran to the bathroom real quick. Nope, the bouncer rudely screams at me and has an attitude from the jump. I understand they can't risk their job for me. However, I didn't need the attitude or condescension. I retrieved my ID and when I showed it to him he didn't even make eye contact with me and just handed it back. He didn't give me a bracelet either and I ended up being served anyways. The business surely caters to college students and when the college students aren't there for break- their business is DEAD. Rightfully so. Maybe if they didn't pick and choose favorite customers to hang up on their wall and accommodate to- they would be doing better. I also don't find it professional that the bouncer would openly gossip with people about other individuals identification method. If someone's ID is fraudulent, obviously that person needs to leave. However, it's nobody else's business. I've met the owner and he was a super nice guy. If he worries about the legal implications of having employees drink on the job, he should reevaluate some of the positions.
I was very pleasantly surprised by Hi-way. Driven by many times and figured it was a gross college spot. But it was pretty comfy the pizza was pretty good and they have decent beer. I did go when college was out so it may be a bit different when the kids are in town. So if you find yourself hungry for pizza a beer, give this place a try!
