The coffee chocolate bar is wonderful. I wish it would be available in the USA. The chocolate melts in your mouth and the coffee is not exaggerated. Tastefully made.

We took a detour to Fribourg, just so my little children could taste the amazing hot chocolate. Three trains, two delays that children carry on their backs during running, around 5:10 arriving and being said, no. The hours are up to 5:30 and no where it shows that the café closes early. My children had talked about the hot chocolate we had for two days, and it breaks my heart that it didn't happen. This is the first time in 13 days that I experienced trouble and bad customer service. There are many chocolatiers in Switzerland and this is definitely not customer-friendly.

Here you can load up on the best Swiss chocolate and have a cup of decent coffee too. The back shop always has cut price bargains at around the best by date (Hey chocolate keeps for months!

Very popular cafe and chocolate shop attached to the Villars factory in the old industrial area of Fribourg. Superb hot chocolate for a cold day, decent baking and some of the best chocolate made in Switzerland. Villars claim to be the only Swiss producer who do not adulterate their coco butter with cheaper fats. The shop carries the full range of their prepackaged bars at a slight discount to supermarket prices, a selection of heavily discounted items which may be nearing their sell-by dates or have obsolete packaging and a counter full of hand-made individual chocolates. Villars specialities include chocolate bars filled with absinthe or génépi and their cream-filled champagne corks. Their pretty decorated tins of chocolates make for popular gifts and souvenirs from Fribourg. Good coffee too.

This place is amazing for chocolate lovers, everything smells chocolate (well, less the coffee corner, that is besides Villars ' marketing stuff that is nice for a gift). Ok, let 's go back to the subject: once in the shop one can enjoy a beautiful hot drink like coffee or hot chocolate, and eat a real 'pain au chocolat ', real bread dough filled with lovely crunchy chocolate. After the snack, go to the small room where all Villars chocolates are available (usually with lower price than supermarket) as well as all chocolates metal boxes, that are great to collect. Also, there are products on sale for a super reduce price. If you love chocolate, don 't miss the home made chocolates you can find on a glass desk. Enjoy!
