Opting for a torta and asada fries, I was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes, leaving me with satisfying leftovers that hit the spot later.The efficiency of the service was noteworthy; they were quick, and the owner, Obet, went above and beyond by personally delivering a delightful surprise Mexican pan dulce. Such a generous touch that added an extra layer of warmth and ambiance to the dining experience. And the horchata! While I'm usually a die hard Coca Cola enthusiast with my Mexican cuisine, the horchata looked too tempting to resist, and I'm so glad I gave it a try. It was absolutely divine.Having lived in both Los Angeles and Mexico, I can confidently say that this establishment serves up truly authentic Mexican fare. The quality of every dish, including the salsas, resonated with the homemade and fresh flavors that are unfortunately not very common in this area.Needless to say, this will be a mandatory stop every time I find myself in Fresno. Last night, I treated my partner to an impromptu date night, and we stumbled upon Don Tacos, which happened to be open late. To my pleasant surprise, the dining experience exceeded my expectations, primarily due to the outdoor seating.Their outdoor setup, complete with a cozy fire based heater, instantly set the stage for a memorable evening. The customer service we received was nothing short of exceptional the entire staff was incredibly sweet and attentive.For our meal, I ordered two asada burritos and a serving of vampiros. The burritos held their own with solid flavors, but it was the vampiros that truly stole the show with their exceptional taste. The icing on the cake came when the chef graciously brought out a special, custom made salsa and shared it with us.Overall, our visit to Don Tacos turned out to be a fantastic experience, making our spontaneous date night truly special.
