Di Cicco's Sunnyside - Fresno

I tried the sampler and the classic calzone during my visit. The sampler came with four pieces of garlic cheese bread, chicken strips, and mozzarella sticks, all accompanied by a side of their signature sauce. It was straightforward, yet quite tasty. The calzone was filled with sausage, onions, and green peppers, and it also came with a side of that sauce. The meal was served with warm, fresh bread and butter on the side. While the service was a bit slow, the staff was very friendly.

What can I say about Chicos, the classic Italian eatery? It has been around for many years, and the menu seems to have stayed the same over time. I really enjoy all the traditional dishes like Lasagna and Calzone. I give it four stars because five stars would imply a more updated menu.

I had the pleasure of spending Saturday night with our two new missionaries from the Church of Latter-Day Saints. My friends also joined us for the evening. The bread and softened butter were delightful, and our meals were beautifully complemented by the desserts. Overall, it was a wonderful evening.

I grew up here and now I live out of town and thought it was a nice treat. The bread is still good, but that's all I can say. My chicken marsala was 90% fungus and no chicken. The Alfredo sauce was definitely from a glass. Cream and pepper were processed without a hint of parmesan. Honestly, they should be embarrassed to call Italian food. Very disappointing for a long local clamp.

Food was OK. The chicken parm was a little over cooked but not too bad. Our server was fabulous. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and attended even though they were short staffed. Every restaurant nowadays is understaffed and overworked but this server was outstanding. Would return again solely based on his service.
