Parkway Hotel - FRENCHS FOREST

First time back to this establishment in a long time. Nothing much has changed. Bar area is dark and uninviting. Menu is typical bar food served in good time.Had trouble ordering a drink as it seems that the one bar staff member had to look after a number of bars--at lunch time??Maybe it makes it's money with afternoon knockoff workers.Time for a revamp.

This place needs to be renovated. Every time it rains hard, the roof leaks like a sieve. Food is pretty average as well. The best I can say is that it's 'hit and miss'. Staff most defiantly give 'poker machine players' preferential treatment. Toilets smell and are not up to today's standards. The Parkway Hotel falls a long way behind other local hotels such as the Terrey Hills tavern, the Belrose, the Brookvale, and all other pubs in Manly. More of a local drinking hole.

Overpricedfood quality is ok my only recommendation would be the Prawn salad with chips and aioli sauce.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were disappointed to find no hostess to seat us, so we had to find a table ourselves. The food was very underwhelming. Two of us ordered the Sirloin steak with Diane sauce, but both the steak and sauce lacked flavor and the steak was mediocre. The Tartare sauce for the fish was unusually watery, indicating a need for better preparation. The Forest burger was surprisingly small, more suitable for a child than an adult. Sadly, as a family of nine, we will not be returning to this restaurant again. Our Mother's Day celebration was quite disappointing.

The restaurant is in a pleasant location, perfect for a family gathering on a sunny summer afternoon. However, the food was very disappointing. Each of the three steak options was tough and nobody was able to finish their meal. The salmon was overcooked and unappetizing. The only positive dish was the chili prawn spaghetti, which was spicy, enjoyable, and came with a generous portion of prawns. The staff were cheerful and had a good attitude. Overall, the experience was okay but the restaurant definitely needs to improve.
