Harem - Freiburg

We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor. It doesn't look like much outside. But the interior is beautiful with a cave like interior. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is fresh and tasty, the prices are reasonable for a location in downtown Freiburg....The lamb scarves were some of the best I had.

Found hairs in my salad and complainded about it. O must have flown trough the air .... No sorry, no other salad. This cook (owner? has to learn that one of the must terrible thing that can happen to your customers is finding a hair in...your dinner! Later, the girl: O can be mine, because I 've that long black hair . Giggled and went away... Never again!

We had walked past this little restaurant a few times during our stay and weren't really struck on the look of the place. After a disaster at a neighbouring restaurant we decided to try eating here as it was getting late. It had been recommended...by our accommodation owners and it also featured in the Rough Guides book. Some of the staff speak English and they have English menu's which is a good touch, as trying to order Turkish food in German is pretty difficult! We ordered quickly and didn't have to wait long. The beers where nice and the food was authentic Turkish food which was full of flavour and at amazingly low prices! It did cross my mind that the owners put far more attention into their food than they do the decor of the restaurant. There was no rush for us to leave the restaurant as soon as we had eaten, We went to the bar to pay the bill. Don't walk past, Walk in, it's worth it!

I been there just for a glass of water because I had a problem of breathing.. Specificly asked for tap water, they pretend me to pay 2 euro for a glass of water from the bottle. the bos was screaming in turkish with the girl...that just gave me the glass and he was so unpolite. I felt so bad eaven for the girl. Also the staff was loud. In little words I wont never came back. I wouldn't feel confortable in that place. Customer service so poor.

Really amazing, authentic Turkish food! We had a lovely meal here and we were very impressed with the service, decor, and delicious food. You can either sit outside on the pedestrian street and people watch, or sit indoors either is lovely.
