Sabor De Cuba - Fredrick

I wanted to take the time and say that this restaurant is not only incredible because of its delicious food but their staff is also so kind and wonderful. Yesterday, for a carry out order they even escorted me to the car because of the large order and were so sweet about it. Thank you for being awesome humans and for serving delicious food!

Went in and asked what are your specialties, what do people like? Thank god I am not from the food network or lord forbid Michelin. She recommended steak. Took it home for my husband, drove this meal 45 minutes shotgun. Got home, tested it before packing it for him to take. WAS this a Cuban restaurant? I bought this from or a corner spot in West Virginia? Worst steak I ever had, flank steak at that should have been used on a sandwich. Low on favor, came with white bland rice no seasoning or veggies cilantro, onion, peppers) or anything that gave the food any zest. It came with 3 of the smallest plantain I have ever seen. The black beans were on the side and they were the only decent part of the meal.This item should be removed from the menu. If you want steak, cross the street it’s there. I’m Cuban and I don’t want this meal to represent my culture. Maybe it’s why the waitress was so excited and proud that it came with onions! Good food speaks for itself . This food was Helen Keller.

I was introduced to this restaurant by a good friend. He was sold on the sandwich de pollo. I simply copied his order and enjoyed a wonderfully flavorful, simple, very tasty, well-sized sandwich. Really large enough to share along with any of their sides. I've been coming back ever since... Cute, quaint and the old burger joint exterior belies this special place.

Perfect cafe cubano. My husband and I had a late lunch and had the place to ourselves. We chose the paella for two which was very hearty with loads of bay scallops, shrimp and large chunks of white fish. We took a large box home and continued to enjoy the rich saffron rice with eggs in the morning. We are from Tampa and Sabor Cuba was a taste of home. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and we enjoyed looking at the black and white photos of Cuba in the 50’s. We can not wait to return.

I liked the food. Service was as expected. I recommend the cocktails.
