Tanzo Japanese Steak Seafood

We really enjoyed our time. We came around lunch and there was no wait with tons of seating available. We were seated immediately with another family and our drink orders were taken almost right away. Once we put in the food orders, the chef arrived about 5 minutes later. He was very skilled and entertaining! We order sushi for starters and you get a slab of sushi rolls that are not small! Everything tasted great. Once the chef got started, the show began! He made an onion volcano which entertained all of us. Egg-fried rice was delicious as were all veggies and meats. We had tuna( yummy), steak (yummy), octopus (yum), and shrimp (yum) to go with our rice and veggies. Nobody went hungry and he even had a few leftover shrimp and steak that he tried to launch into the waiting mouths of the guests. Clean place, super friendly staff, delicious food, fast service. Prices were good and they do have lunch specials during the week. This is a hidden gem of the Frederick area!

Loved this place. Went looking for a new Japanese Hibachi place and had a great first experience here. Last place we use to go to regularly, really went downhill, so it was nice on the first try to find a great replacement. Food was fantastic, everyone was very helpful and nice, timing between each portion of the meal was a little slow but not a bad thing, was nice to be able to slow down and enjoy the meal and experience. Atmosphere is great and sushi bar is on point. Definitely would recommend and will absolutely be going back!

Best sushi and hibachi in Frederick! The service was fantastic and our hibachi chef John was amazing. The employees are so nice and take time to talk with the customers to see how their food is. I will be back time and time again and we will definitely be telling all of our friends about this hidden gem!

Great experience at Tanzo! I have been a few times now. I usually get the chicken and steak or sushi. It is always prepared very well and you can tell cleanliness is emphasized! The staff are friendly and the restaurant has a really cool atmosphere to it. I will be back again!
