Cafe Moto - Frankston East

Bad start, with no seating or tables available anywhere in the space for over half an hour. If you're going to let that many people in, you should cater for seating and tables.That said, once we eventually found a spot we got to enjoy some great food from the American Meat truck, beer from the Mornington Peninsula - just beautiful, and greek doughnuts.

I found the owner to be extremely rude and disrespectful towards me as a long term customer. Which is a pity, because the staff are lovely, wonderful people.

As most people who have followed my reviews would know that I'm very fair with my assessments. On this occasion I find it very difficult to say anything positive. Service was appalling ( this maybe due the fact the owner was not in ) They were aware there would be long delays - however nothing was communicated to us on arrival. Had we been given the opportunity to wait or leave to find an alternative cafe would have been a plus. Our coffees were cold which I would normally overlook when they are so busy but it ended up only added to our frustration. The insincere apology only added to our disgust. I'm well aware that this sort of service failure can happen when complacency creeps through the cracks on a very popular business. Sorry I'm unable to review the breakfast as we cancelled our order ( getting very close to lunchtime), paid for our cold coffees and left feeling absolute nothing but disgust. A sincere apology would have gone a long way to bridging our frustrations! Never again! Customer service should never slip no matter how popular you are.

I have been following Cafe Moto on facebook for a little while waiting for the opportunity to try out their fare. The coffee is great, a really good roast. Breakfast for me was Moto Scrambled eggs, started nice but towards the end was a little too oily for my liking. My lovely wife had French toast which she thoroughly enjoyed. Service is good. Great atmosphere, great coffee. Will be back to try other items in the not too distant future. Cheers.

Great venue. We've been here a few times and the service and food have been really tasty. Their coffee is super too.
