After few good experiences in the past at this restaurant, we revisited Samudhra yesterday for a weekend dinner. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an extremely unpleasant and forgettable visit for us- especially for my 8 years old son. As it turns out that we reached on time and we were made to wait (which we did patiently) for 15 mins since table was not ready. Instead of thanking us for patiently waiting due to their delay, the rude awakening came when the receptionist came straight up to my son and pointed that he is not allowed in the restaurant due to sporting a jogger . First of all, he was very well dressed and secondly, there is a professional way to approach the patrons- which was completely lacking on Samudhra 's services. I was left shocked and disappointed to see the professional shallowness of the receptionist and the manager in handling this situation. I understand and support the management 's desire to enforce a dress code to elevate the dining experience of all guests but they stretched it bit too far to make my son extremely nervous and disappointed.

Very humilating experience for my 8 yr old boy he was in tears. Never again going to Samudhra!! BOYCOTT Samudhra!! This is Maya. I was at your restaurant on 10/27/23 at 8:30pm for my reservation. We were very shaken with the experience at your restaurant, it was very embarrassing, humiliating and disappointing. The front desk guy came and addressed my 8 year boy that he is not allowed in restaurant since he was wearing black plain Gap joggers which pretty much was like any black pant. I am not trying to give excuses but the guy doesn't have any rights to say this in front of my 8 year old who was about to cry at that moment. We were waiting from our friends and to celebrate one of our friends birthday. There were other kids with joggers in the restaurant which I addressed to your manager were also 8yr old and sitting and eating in the restaurant. There were some old people in their 60s just walked out with joggers from restaurants after dining . For a 8 yr joggers, they made an issue.. We would never again step in samudhra again and I am going to share this in my blog how humiliating was my experience especially how my 8 year old was treated. Very upsetting! Maya

They do not allow if you come in track pants !!! Never mentioned anywhere. I will take my business elsewhere. Never going to visit this place again

I was so excited to visit Samudhra for the experience. We always want to seek out diverse cuisine as a family. Do we present ourselves appropriately when dining out? Of course, we do! However, after learning how the staff views and then treats their customers with such inconsistent blatant disrespect, I will take my family elsewhere. This is not an experience I would want to share.
