Kountry Kitchen On 153 - Franklin

We were looking for a quick bite after our hike and arrived at 1 PM. We were pleased to find out they served breakfast! I ordered the three-vegetable plate. I've definitely had better collard greens, but the black-eyed peas and the cornbread were delicious and fresh! As a bonus, one of our group members ordered the fried bologna sandwich, and we couldn't help but take pictures of it! It brought back fond memories from our childhood. It's a great place! Just a heads up—they close at 2:00, so make sure to get there before then.

On our way to The Factory, we decided to stop for brunch. My husband is gluten-free, so he ordered the Denver Omelet with Hash Browns (it came out quickly, so I didn’t get a picture). I opted for the club sandwich (grilled, with meat and bread, and I requested it hot) along with some fries. The staff was incredibly friendly. The place was packed on a Tuesday at 11:00 AM! It’s definitely a local favorite!

I had an excellent breakfast and I’m really glad I decided to come here. I ordered the eggs and bacon, served with grits and a biscuit topped with gravy. The eggs were cooked to perfection, which is quite rare to find! However, the standout dish for me was the biscuit with sausage gravy. The homemade biscuit was light and delicious. I added a touch of salt to the gravy, which was somewhat embarrassing, but it was overflowing with tasty sausage pieces. It was so flavorful that I would come back just for that! The prices were reasonable, and the service was fantastic as well.

I love this place, they have absolutely amazing breakfast. I haven't had any of them yet, but their breakfast is perfect. The staff is super friendly. This place makes great cookies and Gravy. If you want breakfast in the Franklin area, try it. Skip the big chains and help the locals.
