ALEX Frankfurt THE SQUAIRE

Excellent place to eat! Don't spend extra money at the hotel restaurants. This restaurant is reasonably priced and a large menu. The food is good and the service is friendly. You will find it on the upper floor of the Square west. GOOD TO KNOW FOR USA TRAVELERS: If you aren't familiar with Germany, you typically seat yourself. Double check your order if you don't speak German. Pointing at the menu helps. They have menus in English and French, just ask. Don't expect spicy food in Germany. If you want American style food like you are used to, wait until you get home. You have to ask for the bill, they won't push it off on you.

Conveniently located on the upper floor in the Squaire in Frankfurt Airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful with describing menu options. Nice ambience, with a wooden look that can make you forget for a while that you 're in an airport terminal, has a real restaurant feel. Seating available indoors and outdoors, including seating for large groups. The food itself was tasty and creative, and the prices were moderate. They were also open a bit later than some other restaurants on the holiday when we visited.

Im extremely upset at what happened today. We pointed at the white wine and ordered a Riesling, the waiter then brought over the incorrect bottle. We opened the bottle and saw it was red wine, therefore didn’t drink any of the wine and asked for the bottle to be switched. We were told we could not switch !!!! As we had opened the wine, not only that, we couldn’t be charged for just a glass, we had to pay for the entire bottle even though the incorrect wine was available by the glass. Disgusting !! We will be emailing head office as company policy was not followed and we forced to buy a beverage we did not order!! Wouldn’t recommend if you’re there as a tourist or for work !

Food was good- price are ok and in line with normal prices. Service could be better, was slow at times even though it wasnt busy, empty dishes were in front of us for quiet some time. Service was friendly

It's a weekday night. It's not busy at all, yet I had to wait over 10min until someone attended my table. I was thinking about getting food but given the amount of time I had to wait to even order, I settled for a beer only. 10min later I am still waiting on a simple beer, whilst the waitress keeps chatting to a bunch of men at an outside table, multiple times. Unacceptable. Never again. 2 points only because the beer was still nice.
