Harry`s New York Bar

Ruined with the Hyatt decision to ban smoking. Its demise is now assured. Nanny state is alive and well. This bar was the reason I stayed at this hotel for the past 6 years.

Stayed at the attached Lindner/Hyatt for New Years and was absolutely blown away when we walked into this cocktail bar and were overcome with thick plumes of cigarette and cigar smoke. Like a throwback to the disgusting 1980s when no one knew better, no non-smoking area even, all patrons and staff just get hit non stop with cancer fumes. Totally ridiculous and unforgivable in this day and age, the staff must be taking in fines equivalent to smoking a pack a day even, the sooner this dinosaur either closes or kicks out the disgusting smoke the better. The fact that it’s attached to a family friendly Hyatt right on the river is even more bewildering, what a rude shock, really expect much better from anything attached to a Hyatt!

For my first visit to Germany i was quite shocked to find that people can smoke in this bar!! I didn’t realise that they don’t have a smoking ban. I am grateful that we have a smoking ban in the UK. Otherwise a nice bar in a nice hotel.

Real cool cocktail bar with live music(ab22h) and very good cocktails. very nice and polite services. the environment is made on 30-40 years, it just fits everything. besides cocktails they can also buy a cigar and smoke there.

Very good cocktails, nice operation and stylish ambiente. in the summer they can sit outside on the square.
