This is very exquisite and period-style restaurant where you can just feel the history. It even has that slight tint of old building smell, if you know what I mean. Everything from the lighting to the decor is very period and reminded me of sitting in a booth waiting on Al Capone. I was with my son, so I can 't review the bar or alcohol selection but the I can tell you about everything else. The menu had a great selection of various foods and most of it was moderately priced, but some was a little much for what you 're getting, but that 's about anywhere you go. I gave the food 3-stars because even though the presentation was great and the taste was great, it was slightly cool and wasn 't steaming hot. In fact, I don 't even think my olive oil for the oil vinegar had been heated any, because it tasted like it just came from the bottle. In my opinion, the food could 've been a little better but it was still good. I gave the service 3-stars as well because we had to wait quite some time on our drinks, and we never got any small plates, even when we got the bread oil/vinegar house appetizer. The waitress was pleasant but again the wait was a little long, especially considering there were only about 10 people in the restaurant, if that. Overall, I think it 's a good place to eat and a good place to try if you 're in town. Plus, a lot of the State workers are in there gossiping, so you never know what you may hear. Enjoy the experience!
Very lovely place. Quiet and elegant atmosphere. Spectacular food.
Little too pricey for me. There was a private party there the night I went and the volume was too high. I wouldn't go back
We stopped to get food after bourbon on the banks and it was SO good. My best friend and I had appetizers, and delicious entrees. They allowed my certified service dog in and we literally had a fabulous time. The food and service was SO good. We will be back next year.
