Fritz's Bar In The Bavarian Inn Restaurant

One of the two family-style fried chicken restaurants in the interior of frankenmuth! we're here this time. tenth because my cousin (with allergies) knew.

Now we come every year to francenmuth and I love the place. I did it in winter and summer when busy and if not and almost always come.

Very funny restaurant with 3 huge etagens, one of the top 10 largest restaurants in the usa the decor here is very whimsical, classic German bayern.

Visited on 12/29/21. The food was delicious. Although there was about a one-hour wait, it gave us the opportunity to explore the area. The staff was friendly, although the servers seemed a bit overwhelmed as there was only one person serving the entire restaurant. She did an amazing job. Be sure to try the apple strudel! The potato cheese puffs are a must-try dish – they are essentially potato puree roasted with cheese. They are quite filling. The bread brought to our table was very fresh and tasty. The noodle soup was excellent. The decor of the restaurant is also impressive, with a horse carriage on display.

Make sure to make a reservation or get on the waiting list before browsing through the castle shops, as this popular restaurant can have wait times of over an hour on a Monday in December. Our server, Jill, took care of our party of six. She was cheerful, knowledgeable, and attentive. Jill had experience from the Bavarian Inn and provided excellent service. The bread was so delicious that you have to be careful not to fill up on it. The chicken noodle soup was tasty without being too salty and was filled with noodles. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was crispy, saucy, moist, and flavorful. The potato cheese puffs and turban squash sides were delicious. I also ordered sauerkraut as an extra side, which had a great mild sour taste without any sharpness. The chicken pancake was hearty, with a pastry underneath and a cute decoration on top. The chicken dishes were good overall, but the chicken was a bit dry. The Jäger Schnitzel was decent, but not particularly flavorful. The noodles and chicken side dishes were tasty. We were too full for dessert, but overall, it was a wonderful experience. Jill was an excellent server, and the ambiance was just as we had hoped for.
