Bidrage med feedbackWe have reserved ourselves to taste wines and learn about the winery, and we have received a less than acceptable hostess. She ignored our reservation and told us we could just sit outside and wait. If we wanted to. We visit the valley every year and we will definitely not return here.
Villa Montefiori Valle de Guadalupe Degustación or wine tasting available in per-selected groups of several wines served at three set prices in Zafferano Experienze glassware (especially designed to show color, promote swirl and open the wine) for pairing with available delicious Baguette Canapes. We have the Super Premium selection consisting of Espumoso, Brunello, Selezionato Nebbiolo de Guadalupe. We tasted the wine with a mixed selection of baguette canapes, a scatter of olives, brie, smoked salmon, prosciutto and artichoke in various combinations, well paired with the wines. All tasting quite well in Italian tradition and made even more amazing by pairings, view, knowledge, presentation and atmosphere. Patio seats are limited, we recommend a reservation for tasting on busy days.
We found this winery to have the best wines--the most consistently good--of any of the seven wineries we visited in the Valle de Guadalupe. They specialize in Italian varietals, including staples like sangiovese, and they do them well. This is the only winery where every...sample we tried was good enough that we would serve it in our house. We were surprised, however, at the prices. They are significantly too high. For wines of similarly excellent quality, we have paid less in Sonoma and Napa Valleys in CA.
This was our last stop in the vale de Guadeloupe. The tasting room has been moved across the road into a new building... production is somewhere else. It’s a beautiful new modern glass building and we enjoyed sampling and purchased a Chardonnay from 2017. Would...return
Good wines, great snacks, beautiful views and generous host/wine maker. One of our favorite stops in the Valle!
