It makes me sad because the people who work there are so kind but this year the food hasn’t been enough to warrant the cost of $2000 a semester. Often times the only protein is chicken and low quality beef burgers.
Extremely limited options for people with allergies. Meat is super dry. Chicken has been undercooked many times
I moved with my family to the house immediately next door to the Student Center which houses the dining commons. I have eaten breakfast here many times and often bring my kids with me. They have an omelet bar, smoothie bar and many other daily options. I really enjoy the omelets and my daughter loves the smoothies. All for $4.75! You can't beat the breakfast.
If you want to keep your weight down, you're stuck with the salad bar which is rarely stocked fully, but it's not the dining hall workers' faults that all the food is unhealthy. I have gotten food poisoning from there once so far. It has really limited hours compared to other schools' eateries.
Not as good as it could be. Especially after seeing it during ‘accepted students day' I have now seen what it COULD be like...amazing meals, plenty of options, normal kind of soup that is edible and fully stocked everything. Even potted plants, decorations, marshmallows for hot cocoa, a fully stocked breakfast buffet with French toast sticks. All of this was there today just for this occasion, setting these people up coming into FSU with high expectations. Sorry to say it, but you will be disappointined when you see how it really is day to day for the people that already pay a lot of money to have meal plans here.
