Bidrage med feedbackFriendly staff, menu has many options, breakfast, lunch and dinner. House style cooking, food served hot, very tasty. Clean setup. Many parking spaces. Easy access from Route 81. We stopped on the way to Pocono for breakfast and on our return we stopped for dinner. Save space for dessert, cakes and cakes and they serve a pretty local ice cream that is top notch. It's one of the best dinners I've done.
Friendly staff welcomed us (my girlfriend, her father and I) with a smile. We were very happy with the food and service. The staff will make you welcome. That meant a lot to me. We loved the old diner feeling of the restaurant and the staff went out to make sure the customers were satisfied. We loved the old-fashioned decorative menus and the old jukeboxes. This place is welcoming and tasty. I unfortunately did not see a wheelchair accessible ramp and the steps are steeper, so if you have difficulty walking or cannot go, I recommend the delivery.
We just drove to NY and looked for a place to eat. I'm glad we found this. The counter was filled with cake and bread. The food was great. The ripe ladies napkin were wonderful--gile as at home with Mom. I had Turkey and engraving over a waffle (never heard) and my son had their Turkey Club Sandwich. The restaurant was clean. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend.
I drove from the Dutch kitchen from my parents' house in Scranton, where I lived in the MD for 20 years (each since college) and never stopped once. I finally came with my wife and my young children because we had to stop immediately and there was not much. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really liked the food. The potato pancake appetizer tasted super, very similar to my grandma. The crab cakes are excellent and very favorable. Definitely a great place to have country cooking at a good price. I definitely come back and wish I'd come back sooner.
This is your very average diner type of place with good comfort food at reasonable prices. Nothing special about it. Well except that the atmosphere is very much from the 50 ' and 60 's. They still have the table top juke (spelling) boxes on the table tops. Our waitress was nice and efficient, the food came out hot, their homemade bread was superb and their whipped butter was awful. They should serve quality butter on their awesome bread!
