The staff could be more welcoming and attentive. The food tasted mediocre, and the hot sauce that was served immediately was quite disappointing.

We decided to stop by this restaurant after our dance class at the Atomic Ballroom, as we were craving a delicious meal and had heard wonderful things about it. One of the advantages is that they stay open late, which is a rarity outside of big cities. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and given menus to order and pay for our meals before sitting down—an unconventional system, but it worked well for us. We chose to share the mixed grill plate and an appetizer of hummus. Without going into unnecessary details, I can confidently say that the customer service and attention we received were outstanding. The staff was personable and friendly, and the food was fantastic, making it certain that we will be back.

The kababs, thunder and rice were enjoyable, and the baklava and Turkish tea were also quite good. Overall, the food was very satisfying, and I could easily rate it a 4 or 5 based solely on that. However, the service was unfortunately disappointing. I might even say a rating of 2 feels generous; the owner really needs to address this issue. If this is meant to be a Turkish restaurant, the service should reflect the warm hospitality typically associated with Turkish culture. Your restaurant represents your country and culture, after all. We ordered the mixed combination grill, but they served everything on small plates, creating a cluttered presentation with the items piled on top of each other. The rice ended up mixed with the cabbage pickles and vegetables, resulting in a chaotic dish.

Excellent restaurant with excellent customer service. The Lord who welcomed us was absolutely the most attentive host I met in a while. To the Pita bread. So fresh and warm when it arrived. Have both soil and kebab lamb, soil and kebab chicken and ribeye kebab. Everything was delicious, but the chicken kebab was the perfect marinated and juiciest I ever had. HIGHLY recommend!

If you like authentic Mediterranean food with a Turkish flair, then you need to try Istanbul Grill California! My friend and I were able to try the Doner Kabab and we were floored; it was so delicious! We visited Istanbul Grill for lunch and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy, but we received our food relatively quick. The owner even treated us to a Turkish chocolate mousse on the house.
