Bonchon Fountain Valley

WARNING: SPICY WINGS ARE REALLY SPICY.We love Bonchon! We usually get their tofu salad, delicious season fries, and half soy garlic and half spicy wings Absolutely delicious! HOWEVER we ordered the spicy wings today and they were unbearably hot. Like ghost pepper hot. Not sure if there was a new cook in the back or they just decided to kick it up 10 notches, but it was pretty bad. Even my mom, who can eat Thai chilis without breaking a sweat, said it was spicy. No one at our gathering ate them after finding out so we had to take the box home and douse them in ranch.Just a fair warning about it 3 stars for this surprising experience. If they had us pick the spicy level, that would be a better idea to give people options instead of randomly spicing things up. Maybe one day we'll be brave enough to try them again. Lol

So I took my son here a couple of days ago, and I was super disappointed. The restaurant was clean. And the service excellent. The food on the other hand was overrated. The Korean wings were a 7/10. They were crispy, but they were overcooked. The meat was dry. I can't stand it when my wings are overcooked. Then then my entree was full of noodles and had very minimum amount of meat. Then my son's entree had so much onions in it . It was ridiculous. Very dissatisfied!!

First time checking this place out and let me tell you we were not disappointed. Not gonna lie but everything on the menu sounded so good that we ordered several different items to try out. Wings, pot stickers, udon noodles, bulgogi plate and chicken katsu (don't judge me? . Now we like spicy, but man the spicy wings and pot stickers had a kick!!! Bulgogi plate was on point!! Super flavorful!!! You will not be disappointed!! Don't hesitate to try this place out!Kid-friendliness: Bring the whole fam!!Parking: Huge shopping center...park on the side of the supermarket versus in front of the restaurants...more parking there

Food was fair, good service, atmosphere, just like a fast food joint.

Bonchon has always been one of my go-to places back in Pleasanton! We tried out the location here in Fountain Valley and they once again lived up to my standards. The restaurant felt very spacious as you walked in and the staff was very helpful, aiding in my food pick-up and getting water cups and spare food boxes. We ordered a family meal of soy garlic chicken, fried rice, fries, and pickled radishes. The food was delicious and everything complimented each other really well. Shout out again to the staff for accommodating our needs!
