Bidrage med feedbackI know it's during COVID so everyone is trying to do their best and make a living, but there are few things about this store that really disappointed me. 1. It's under a totally different ownership since at least a year ago, but still using Pankee food's name? 2. Since they using Pankee's name people would expect the quality and the price are about the same. But No! The price is way more expensive for their food quality. I walked in today and there's a lady came in after me she asked why the Yelp name is Pankee food still and the owner just said haven't changed yet. I just felt like they are not being very honest. 3. The food is pretty expensive and the buns are dry and not very fresh. $12 for 5-6 frozen buns. 32 dollars for a bag of 50 frozen dumplings... I don't think we will come back again..
Authentic Chinese food. We ordered the Xi'an pork belly rougamo, it is absolutely amazing. The bun is crispy, so make sure eat them when they're fresh. Highly recommended.
Foods were tasty but operation was a bit poor. I ordered frozen pork Bao which was shown in Grubhub as $12 for 6 buns. However, when I arrived I was told it became 5 buns and there was no refund. In addition, while the foods are very tasty, some had poor value for the dollars you pay.
Place is called Siu Mai Factory (signage outside/inside still notes Pan Kee Foods selling frozen buns, dumplings, and won tons...no hot, prepared foods served here, only food to be cooked at home. Gentleman that assisted me didn 't speak much English, but freezer is nicely labeled with the type of dumplings and buns from pork, chicken and vegetarian filled items. The dumplings were delicious and generously filled but can 't vouch for their buns as I 'm so vanilla when it comes to steamed buns: plain, bbq pork, eh.....maybe a custard filled is all i care for. I picked up the vegetarian one with shiitake, spinach and bean threads (thin, clear noodles which was different (for me but had a good, fluffy bun-ny exterior. : Unfortunately, no instructions are provided if you 're a newbie to cook-at-home ' dumplings/baos but you can steam, boil (of course not the bun! , and nuke these items for a quick meal. Located in Beach Park Plaza small strip mall in Foster City with plenty of lot parking.
Got a takeout of here that consists of XLBs, lotus roots stuffed with sticky rice, spicy beef tendon, and liu sa bao. My husband who lived in Shanghai for ten years seems to be very happy with how authentic it tastes. I took one star out cause I feel that the XLBs are on the pricey side (almost the same price as Din Tai Fung) given that I had to steam them myself. We will come back to try other items on the menu.
