Bidrage med feedbackI went to this restaurant for a family dinner with my mother, wife, and kids. Despite good reviews, the experience did not live up to our expectations. The staff was pleasant, but the service was slow. I was disappointed by the $40 chirashi, which seemed overpriced and was served in a disposable plastic bowl for dine-in. My wife's miso soup came in a paper cup, while other dishes were served on regular plates and bowls. To make matters worse, my mother was still waiting for her udon by the time we finished our meal. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and do not plan to return in the future.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was the apple cubes in my salad. My significant other wanted to try this restaurant based on the positive reviews and photos, but we were sorely disappointed. Nothing about our lunch order looked appetizing. We decided to pick up the Poke bowl, salmon teriyaki bento with tempura, and rainbow roll (which was not part of the lunch special). Despite living nearby, the freshness of our meal was lacking. The poke bowl was unappetizing, with the fish appearing as though it had been left out for too long. The salmon teriyaki in the bento box was dry and overly fishy, with watery teriyaki sauce lacking in flavor. The rainbow roll was mediocre and overpriced. Even the miso soup tasted watered down. Overall, we were extremely dissatisfied with our experience and ended up throwing most of our food away. We would not even consider giving the leftovers to our pets. Before deciding to dine here, consider whether you would be willing to pay more than $16 for such disappointing food. (See attached photo)
Horrendous customer service experience. Maybe ChowNow is to blame, maybe not. Yesterday I put in a huge order for takeout. Order submitted around 4 pm, requested food at 5:30 pm, got a confirming email. Then when I went to pick up the food, there was a sign saying that they were Temporarily Closed due to an emergency. When I banged on the door and someone answered, I explained what happened and they were completely indifferent and unapologetic. THEN WHY DID THE APP TAKE MY ORDER AND CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD? I figured I would block the charges with my credit card and leave this negative review. But what, there 's more! Today (yes, the day after I ordered my takeout dinner), I get an email saying that food will be ready at 5:30 pm. Are you serious? So I call them and try to explain what happened and the person who answered the phone basically said that I didn 't understand how to use the app. Never.Going.Here.Again.
THIS IS A JAPANESE STYLE RESTAURANT RUN BY NON-JAPANESE THAT SERVES JAPANESE-ISH FOOD We dined in at this place and the service quality was terrible. We ordered Garlic noodle this is not a Japanese menu, btw. I 've never seen it in Japan as a native Japanese lol), Tonkatsu, salmon and tsukemen. Tsukemen came 40 min after we finished everything else. Server never checks if you get the right food nor they arrive in a timely manner. When we asked what happened to our tsukemen, they said we got a lot of takeout orders . Ok..but why garlic noodle came in time and tsukemen didn 't?! No apologies for messing up the order. When tsukemen arrived, they forgot an egg that was supposed to come with it. We had to point it out to them) the egg arrived 5 min later. The egg was plain btw, not ajitama. As a disclaimer, when we seated, they talked to us in Chinese straight, so you might get a better service if you can speak Chinese. The quality of the food that we ordered was in between ok and meh from a native Japanese perspective. We didn 't try their sushi which might be good. But as a native Japanese, I hope whoever get negative experience at this place understand this is a Japanese-looking restaurant run by non-Japanese!
I was just thinking How much I enjoyed dinner last night. We returned for indoor dining after very reliable take out during Covid. Wonderful meal as always
