Yard Bird Ale House - Fortitude Valley

I love the Yard Dog. It is casual, unpretentious, with good Guinness, and excellent food. The wings are always excellent. Don’t have the HOT ones (they are really really hot), but all other wings fabulous. Garlic and Parmesan my personal favourite. Non wing food always excellent as well. I lovely retreat from the sometimes madness of the Valley.

The staff are excellent, and the atmosphere is Chilled with Music and sport on the TV. Has both great Outdoor and indoor eating options which you can reserve as well for a function. The drink and food prices were quite good for the area, which was a nice change. Large range of Craft beers and the menu caters for different types of people including Vegetarian and Vegan, however their specialty is their Wings, and they are Amazing. Personal favorite are the Parmesan and Garlic . It is also close to the Busy Main Valley nightlife but far enough away so if that is not your thing, you don 't have to feel like your in the center of it. Lots of different Public parking options around as well.

Relaxing, some really nice beers on tap. Decent outdoor area as well. Really nice place for a beer, and staff pretty good as well.

We've been to Yard Bird about a dozen times now after being introduced to it a year or two ago. Quite simply, it has the best wings I've ever had. They are a great size (which can be an issue at a few of the other famous wing places), the sauces are delicious and the parmesan chips are brilliant. The store in the Valley has only just got its card payment facilities working again, prior to this it was cash only for a few months which was quite painful. Thankfully that issue seems to be gone.

Nice spot to catch up for drinks. we went on origin night so the staff didn’t seem too chirpy. there was also a sign saying cash only so not sure if that’s just because it was a game day. food was okay! I got the mushroom pizza which was a little bland. there’s free four hour parking underneath the centre.
