Grand Imperiale - Forte dei Marmi

This hotel WAS probaly once a 5 star hotel, but that was in the time of the famous Italien actrices. It is stuck in the 1970 's; they probably never redocorated since that time. I am a big guy, did not fit in the shower cabin. Breakfast: the cloths on the tables probably have more grease then in your bacon. This hotel is absolutely no 5 star hotel. My wife called it fawlty towers i 'm from Barcelona, don 't speak english). Valet parking: they left my car key on the outside on the table along a Porsche carkey mine was a Range Rover), everybody could have picked it and drive. No, never again for us. Please rerate it to 2 or 3 stars but absolutely NOT 5 stars.

Ordered dinner for special guests, everything was organized to perfection. We even changed menu the night before and everything was accommodated quickly and fairly. Maitre and Service personnel impeccable, food first class. From grilled prawns to vegetable cakes, from maltagliati to sea bass with caponatina and roasted turkey, everything was prepared, cooked and presented Excellently. Great tiramisù and ice cream with forest fruits to close the night. Can’t talk about the wine, we didn’t have any.......

Arrived Sunday night at hotel for 5 nights had diner at restaurant as june is slightly quiet in Forte thank goodness) and it was Sunday night, we were alone that evening in this very good restaurant next to the pool. Quiet, good service, excellent food We would go back tomorrow ! CP CP family

I spent with the family a long week end here. Great swimming pool. Rooms are ok vs the price you pay. Breakfast is great and the service is good. Do not expect the luxury you could have at Dubai 6 stars hotel, but for Forte dei Marmi it is good
