Guacamole's Mexican Taqueria

Any time I'm in town on Tuesday or Thursday I stop in for the tacos and horchata. Friendly staff, always fast for takeout. Legitimately the only restaurant I will seriously miss after I move. The recent remodel is great as well. Remember to get both green and red sauce for the tacos! Thanks for all the great food guys.

It is regrettable that this place is temporarily closed! I didn't last so long ago and had some amazing birria tacos!! In any case, they would go back if they were open again.

A couple of months later, my wife encouraged me to give it another try, so we returned and I opted for the street tacos. I ordered five tacos with different meats and waited quite a while for them to arrive. Unfortunately, they were again bland, with no flavor to speak of, even after adding salt and salsas. My wife usually enjoys tacos de asada, but she didn’t even finish hers because they were that unappetizing. I ate mine because I can’t stand wasting food, but once again, I was left unimpressed. As someone who is Mexican and knows how to cook authentic Mexican cuisine, I can confidently say that real Mexican food should taste much better than what we experienced here. It makes me wonder if those who rave about the food have ever had genuine Mexican fare. On the service front, it was just okay. The staff was friendly and attentive at the beginning, but once we finished eating, they disappeared. We waited a long time to get our bill, and after a while, my wife had to get up and find someone to ask for it. I gave this place two chances, but their food did not impress me at all, and I do not plan on returning.

I wish I could give this place 8 stars! It's an incredible restaurant. The prices are more than reasonable and the food is some of the best I've ever eaten. I literally told my wife that after the meal I wanted to stop on the dessert so that the taste of my burrito can stay a little longer. That's the best Mexican food I've ever eaten! In addition, the service was great, the chips and salsa were perfect, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. When friends come to visit, I have no doubt where I take them Guacamole's!

When this restaurant first opened, it was an excellent dining spot. However, after they resumed operations, I ordered from there twice and could tell that the quality had significantly declined. The food was subpar, and it seemed evident that they no longer cared about what they were serving. Unless they bring in staff who are genuinely invested in preparing quality food, I don't see a reason for them to reopen.
