Ginger - MGM National Harbor

Ginger is a lovely spot for a meal while visiting the MGM National Harbor. The menu is Asian-themed, with items from China, Thailand and Korea. Cocktails suit the menu. There is a good wine list as well, with several good choices by the glass. We had the dumplings and Vietnamese spring rolls to start, followed by a spicy beef dish and shrimp with black bean sauce. We shared sticky rice with mango for dessert. Service was professional and friendly, and the open-to-the-conservatory ambiance is wonderful. Prices are moderate to expensive, but well worth the expense for a memorable experience.

One drawback was that we had made reservations online over a month ago, but they couldn't find our booking when we arrived. Thankfully, we were able to show proof of our reservation because the restaurant was very busy and crowded. This was another downside - it was noisier than usual and seemed overcrowded. In fact, I have never seen the restaurant so packed before. As a result, we were seated in a cramped space to eat, partly due to the confusion with our reservation. Overall, the food was great and the service was quick, but the crowded and noisy atmosphere coupled with the reservation mishap was a bit of a downside to our dining experience.

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

I had a great dining experience at Ginger. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere was nice, and overall we were pleased with our meal. The service was exceptional and the staff were very knowledgeable about the food preparation. The manager even came to our table to make sure everything was to our liking. I would definitely recommend Ginger to my friends and family and I am looking forward to coming back in the future.

Birthday dinner! Food id rate as 3/5 stars because friends entree was undercooked. Didn’t realize until he went home to eat left overs. It was quiet and service was excellent 5/5 stars. Overall had a good time! Would go back again!
