Morton's The Steakhouse - Fort Shafter

Had the burger of the month in the bar it was huge, juicy and tasty, although the brioche bun was pretty well charred. The fries were fantastic fresh/hot, crispy, great flavor, too. Also had the wedge bites really crisp, refreshing, light salad with shrimp. My wife had the sea bass with bok choy in a broth, which loved the fish was so fresh and meaty, but still tender one of the best sea basses she ever had. The carrot cake for dessert was pretty good, too.

Morton's is our go-to steak house in Honolulu for nearly 20 years, and it's always a pleasure to go there. The staff is so friendly and efficient and they always make you feel special. Almost everything on the menu is delicious. My wife and I normally split a salad, 12 ounce filet and dessert, and add a couple side dishes and a seafood appetizer. It's more than we can eat, so we have the leftovers at lunch the next day. Morton's filets are juicy, tender and lightly seasoned. The mushrooms with spinach in a lightly buttered juices works perfectly with the steak. The ambience is very nice with comfortable seating and white tablecloths.

Morton's continues to deliver old-school good service. They get all the details right, and aim to please without all the exaggerated gesturing that a lot of newer places do. Food and drink was excellent and pricing was not unreasonable. In my humble opinion, they still get 5 stars.

30 minutes to be approached be waiter. Given so many copies of the bill; I signed one and was later challenged by the waiter for not leaving a tip. I had left a very generous (undeserved) tip in the copy I signed. This was a very disappointing dinner.

We were a party of 16 celebrities our friends birthday and we had the best experience at Morton's. The drinks, appetizers, food, service were amazing. They even put Happy 26th Birthday and her name on the menu and happy birthday confetti on the table. She loved it. Thank you to everyone at Morton's who made this birthday dinner a special one for us.
