Country Kitchen - Fort Payne

Food was hot, service was ok, but it was just a young lady for all tables. It was very warm inside and a mic mash when decor, but other than this food and experience was good!

My husband and I stopped in a morning when we were an early morning drive. We were looking for something we hadn't tried before. Going at this place felt like having made a step 40 years in the past. There was nothing nice here. It was really a late '70s early '80s relic. We ordered our breakfast, he got cookies, gravy and eggs and I got and delicate biscuits with egg and cheese and grits. Once food arrived, we disappeared. We both agreed that it is better than homemade!

Eating was good, although small proportions the BBQ plate was good and chicken fingers were not too bad. They ran around 12 out of vegetables and didn't have much to choose. Was not a fan of paperboard, but at least not many dishes to wash. They get their name rural kitchen for a reason and that's exactly what it is!

If you're looking for a mother and pop restaurant, that's it. Great cookies like my grandmother. And the service was wonderful.
